How Symmetry Detective Works 🪄

A line of symmetry is like a magic fold — if you fold the letter or shape exactly on that line, both halves match perfectly! சமச்சீர் கோடு என்றால் மடித்தால் இரண்டு பக்கமும் ஒரே மாதிரி இருக்கும் கோடு.

Not all folds are the same! A vertical line folds left-right (like in A and H), a horizontal line folds top-bottom (like in B and E), and a diagonal line folds corner-to-corner (like in X). Some shapes are superstars — a circle has infinite lines of symmetry, while a letter like F has none!

  1. Pick a mode: tap Letters to test any alphabet, digit or symbol, or Shapes to explore circles, triangles, stars and more.
  2. Type or choose what you want to test.
  3. Tap ✨ Find Symmetry — Varsha checks every possible fold line for you.
  4. Green lines show where the fold works. If none show up, that shape has no line of symmetry at all!
